“My work is deeply informed by emotions & feelings related to growing up in a large Catholic Midwestern-American family and the journey of learning about my Eastern European/Romanian Ancestors connection to land, farming & fortune telling.  I utilize the craft of ceramics, plant foraging, meditative states & writing to express my personal experience of loss, fear, & familial patterns of abuse in order to alchemize it into meaning and establish archetypes within my human relational experience.  My process on the potter’s wheel moves my physical energy into clay, releasing emotions in my body and later I translate it into a story of my feelings.

Due to the nature of isolation during my art making process, I began facilitating foraged plant tea circles with my archetype vessels.

The tea circles were held in a cozy environment that opened with each person silently selecting a vessel to be served in. I revealed the meaning of the vessels after drinking together, demonstrating to others their innate inner knowing and attraction to an archetype. This oracular process assisted in meaning-making in the participnats lives, which ultimately connected myself to the group and integrated my feelings of isolation.”
